Our Manchester: Holidays with Music
Posted on September 26, 2010
Manchester Camerata’s 2010/11 Season is all about the great cities of the world and the music and artistic endeavours they have inspired.
Inspiration also perhaps to pack your bags and set off for this musical world?
Locally based John Whibley and his family accompany groups on a vast variety of musically themed holidays. Some of the highlights in the year to come:
The Budapest Spring Festival offers orchestral, choral and chamber music as well as opera in the magnificent Hungarian State Opera House.
Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, Liszt, Chopin, Mahler Camerata Salzburg and Thomas Quasthoff bass-baritone. An opportunity to hear Puccini’s masterpiece La Boheme in one of the great Opera houses of the world, La Fenice. The Prague Spring Festival. |
Apart from the music, there’s also normally some sightseeing, with well chosen local guides. Some holidays are quite busy, others are very relaxed, and of course nothing on the schedule is compulsory!
