Music by Numbers
Posted on November 15, 2010
Have you ever wondered why so many scientists and mathematicians play music for a hobby? There really is a connection between these two disciplines – and Manchester Camerata can prove it. Over the coming months they will be touring their half day Music by Numbers workshops around primary schools throughout the North West, developing skills in musical addition, subtraction and division, and playing rhythms with mathematical precision! Pupils will create a new piece of music which they can share in an informal performance at the end of their session. |
