Daniel’s composition has been selected to be premiered in Manchester Camerata’s season concert `Baroque in Dresden’ on 27 November 2010.
Daniel Kidane began his musical education at the age of eight when he started playing the violin.
He first received composition lessons at the Royal College of Music Junior Department where he studied with Avril Anderson. He then went on to study at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, receiving lessons in composition from Professor Sergey Slonimsky. At present, he is in his third year undergraduate at the Royal Northern College of Music where he studies with Gary Carpenter. Daniel Kidane’s works have recently been performed at the Adelaide International Cello Festival, Corsham Music Festival, Horsham Music Circle and Sutton Valence Music Society. Upcoming events featuring performances of his works include the Purcell Room, Park Lane Group commission, and RNCM Chamber Music Festival. |
