Cameo’s October Appearance

Posted on October 10, 2010

Cameo Orchestra Picture   The latest meeting of Manchester Camerata’s ever popular Cameo Orchestra took place at the RNCM on Sunday 10 October between 2.00pm and 8.00pm.

One of this country’s most experienced orchestral leaders, Richard Howarth, directed proceedings, assisted by clarinettist Lenny Sayers, who is often involved in Camerata’s projects.

Cameo Orchestra is open to players of all ages and abilities, and is unique in giving all the players the opportunity to experience truly great orchestral repertoire (in this case Brahms’ 2nd Symphony), guided by musicians who have played these works at the highest level.

As always though, the main objective was to make friends and have fun and we had a brilliant day!

The next Cameo Orchestra meeting is on Sunday 27 March 2011

If you’re interested in taking part then get in touch with Manchester Camerata’s Head of Learning and Participation, Nick Ponsillo on 0161 226 8696 or by email nponsillo@manchestercamerata.com
