Katherine Broderick – Soprano

Katherine Broderick joins Manchester Camerata for its New Year’s Day Viennese Gala at 3.00pm at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.

Katherine Broderick Soprano     Katherine Broderick was the winner of the 2007 Kathleen Ferrier Award. She finished her studies at the National Opera Studio in London in 2008, having previously studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she won the Gold Medal. She was one of the first and youngest recipients of the Susan Chilcott Award in 2005.

Current and future concert plans include Mahler Symphony No 4 and Poulenc Gloria with The Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Okko Kamu; Dvorak Requiem with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and Paul McCreesh and a concert with Manchester Camerata, music to include Mozart Exultate Jubilate and Bellini Casta Diva.

Future opera plans include Donna Anna Don Giovanni in a new production by Rufus Morris for English National Opera and Kirill Karabits; Helmwige Die Walküre for Oper Leipzig conducted by Ulf Schirmer, the Halle Orchestra and Sir Mark Elder and for Opera North with Richard Farnes, where she will also sing Woglinde Götterdämmerung and in Miezyslaw Weinberg The Portrait.
