As part of Manchester Camerata’s new relationship with Doncaster, violinist Tim Crooks led a string master class at the William Appleby Music Centre, Doncaster. |
On 8 October 2011, participants to Manchester Camerata’s Doncaster String Masterclass experienced a solo session for ‘Cello with Brione Jackson, followed by a second session for solo violin which saw Leon French playing Beethoven Romance in F major.
The third and final session was specially for the William Appleby Chamber Orchestra (WACO), and consisted of a rehearsal of Mozart Divertimento in Bb Major (1st and 2nd Movements). Manchester Camerata is at home at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, but it also has important residencies across the North of England, principally in Ulverston, Colne, Stafford and now Doncaster. Over the season the orchestra takes music and music making to groups of all ages in all its residencies. |
