Calling All Amateur Musicians!
Posted on February 16, 2012
Amateur players from across the North West are invited to join Camerata musicians at the Royal Northern College of Music to learn new repertoire and meet new friends!
Are you an amateur musician? Would you like to dust off your instrument and play with like minded people, and perhaps learn new skills?
We’ll be meeting next at the Royal Northern College of Music on Sunday 4 March 2012 for a day of playing, coaching and chat.
The repertoire for the day will be Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings for the string orchestra, and Dvorak’s Slavonic Dance Op.46, Krommer’s Rondo and Liz Sharma’s The Forest for wind orchestra (including horns!).
The day will include full rehearsals as well as sectionals, culminating in a performance at the end of the day to see the great improvement from beginning to end.
So, what are you waiting for – Come on Down!
The session will take place between 2pm and 8pm, and costs £18 for adults, £13 for Patrons/Friends/under 18s/students and £4 for RNCM students.
If you wish to join us for this wonderful day of music making, please return an application form (which you can download below) by Monday 27 February 2012. Don’t forget to book early to avoid disappointment!
