Backstage After Camerata 2013-14 Season Finale
Posted on May 27, 2014
On 24 May, we brought our 2013-14 season to a triumphant close at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Watch exclusive videos below of Composer-in-Residence Laura Bowler and Music Director, Gabor Takacs-Nagy, filmed backstage on the night.
We witnessed stunning performances from internationally respected young pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, alongside our very own principal cellist Hannah Roberts and Giovanni Guzzo in his final performance as leader. This was followed by a world-premiere from our amazingly talented 2013-14 Sound and Music Embedded Composer-in-Residence Laura Bowler. After an intimate experience earlier in the year at The Royal Exchange Theatre, Laura displayed her theatrical routes involving acting, improvisation and even an orchestral fight in a new work based on Dance of Death Part I by Swedish playwright, Johan August Stringberg.
Witness Laura’s reaction on the night…
Hear what Gábor said as he came off stage…
