Stafford Composer In Residence Explores Identity Of Stafford

Posted on January 1, 2015

In a unique celebration of Stafford’s culture, young adults with mental health conditions have been working with Camerata’s Stafford Composer in Residence, Katie Chatburn to create a new piece of music based on the identity of Stafford.

The young adults have been drawn from Quest Day Opportunities and Chebsey House in Stafford, and participated in creative workshops alongside Katie Chatburn to compose the new piece of music which celebrates Stafford’s culture.  On 29th January their piece will be performed by a Camerata quartet in a pre-concert event at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, and for the first time ever, some of the participants will perform alongside the musicians.
