Enjoy an evening of introductions; meet Camerata’s future Music Director (from September 2011), the great Hungarian musician Gábor Tákacs-Nagy, and newly appointed Leader, Venezuelan/Italian violinist and rising star Giovanni Guzzo. Miklós Perényi, one of the truly great cellists of his generation, makes his debut performance with the orchestra in this special programme which is deeply rooted in the city of St. Petersburg.

This concert will be beamed live from the RNCM Concert Hall to the BBC Big Screen in Exchange Square, Manchester, and will also be made available on the Manchester Camerata website, and for 60 days afterwards on Medici TV.
