The first of two Hungarian programmes this season as part of G&abor Tak&acs-Nagy’s first as Music Director in which folk music is never far from the forefront. Haydn, the great chronicler of human characters, is on dark and brooding form in his F minor ‘Passione’ Symphony, much chirpier in his most famous D major Piano Concerto. Bart&ok’s hugely imaginative and richly colourful string Divertimento completes the programme.Talking Point, 6.30pmG&abor Tak&acs-Nagy introduces Manchester Camerata’s 2011/12 season.Encore, 9.30pmPresented in association with Manchester Jazz Festival
