G&abor Tak&acs-Nagy conductorJean-Efflam Bavouzet piano

“Bavouzet is not only a masterful performer with a great feel for colour and tone quality, but communicates his love for the music in a manner that is direct and completely genuine.”Classic FM Magazine

A programme with an Hungarian flavour to open G&abor Tak&acs-Nagy’s first season as Music Director, in which folk music is never far from the forefront. Haydn, the great chronicler of human characters, is on dark and brooding form in his F minor Passione Symphony, much chirpier in his most famous D major Piano Concerto. Bart&ok’s hugely imaginative and richly colourful string Divertimento completes the programme.
