Due to illness, Adi Brett will no longer be able to perform at this event; we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Alpesh Chauhan will now conduct and our mesmerising principal cello, Hannah Roberts, will perform one of Haydn&s most popular works, the charming and spirited Cello Concerto in C major, a work which calls for great virtuosity from the soloist. The charm of Grieg&s Holberg Suite sits alongside the wistful romance of Sibelius& Rakastava (The Lover), while Dvorak&s sunny Serenade reflects the composer&s happiness, due to his recent marriage and imminent arrival of his first child.
