We join with Huddersfield Choral Society, conductor Martyn Brabbins and organist Neil Taylor in the breath taking Huddersfield Town Hall for an evening of Brahms’s German Requiem. Interestingly one of the only Requiems to carry a location in the title. It is believed that Brahm’s chose this name to depict what it was to be German at the time of composing in 1865 amongst religious upheaval and a period of national mourning.
