We recently visited Japan to share our unique approach in music therapy

Manchester Camerata first visited Tokyo in 2015 as part of the British Council’s Arts for Ageing Society exchange programme, to gain an understanding of Japan’s approach to an ageing society. We discovered that while the role of the arts within health and social care is understood by some Japanese organisations, the concept is foreign to most Japanese orchestras.
