Camerata’s Mancunian Beethoven

| In 2008, Manchester Camerata embarked on a project to make live recordings of Beethoven’s symphonic cycle, planned to be released over a total of five discs. The first of these – a critically acclaimed recording of Symphonies 4 & 7 – was released last year. Our next release will be 1st and 3rd Symphonies, both recorded live at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall during our 2008/09 season. It will be available to buy from the Recordings section of our website as well as most good record shops this Autumn.The discs will be released with themed artwork, presenting familiar elements of Manchester’s urban lanscape from new and interesting angles – just as we aim to present Beethoven’s symphonies! |  |
