A Month Of Features, Television And Radio Appearances

The last month has been extremely busy for Camerata in terms of publicity. We were lucky enough to be involved in two BBC Radio 3 In Tune programmes, BBC One’s Sunday Politics show, BBC Radio 4 and a mention in Classical Music magazines.

BBC Radio 3 In Tune performances
Friday 31 May (listen again no longer available) – Camerata musicians Hannah Roberts and Sophie Rosa performed live in the studio and talked about the MBNA Chester Music Festival and Ensemble Deva.
Friday 28 June (listen again no longer available) – French pianist David Kadouch performed music by Chopin, Mendelssohnn, Rachmaninov and Shostakovich and talked about Manchester Camerata’s forthcoming concert with Martha Argerich at The Bridgewater Hall on Friday 12 July.
BBC Radio 4 Oblique Strategies with Simon Armitage
Thursday 13 June – Manchester Camerata musician Diane Clarke recently appeared alongside Simon Armitage on a BBC Radio 4 programme about Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies.

BBC One Sunday Politics
Sunday 2 June – Footage of Manchester Camerata performing at the Royal Northern College of Music was used on the Sunday Politics show as part of a feature about the Arts Council’s Catalyst scheme and businesses helping to fund the arts.
Classical Music magazine
Manchester Camerata featured a number of times in the most recent issue of Classical Music magazine. Journalist Robert Beale talked about the orchestra as part of a feature on classical music in Manchester and also interviewed Giovanni Guzzo about his work with Ensemble Deva.
