Manchester’s rave-meets-recital project Haçienda Classical opened the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury last summer. Dreamed up by Haçienda manager Paul Fletcher and former Haçienda DJs Mike Pickering and Graeme Park, together with experimental orchestra Manchester Camerata, the project launched last year at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, reimagining the tunes that defined a generation at the original club as classical compositions.
