BBC World Service Digital Planet podcast – ‘Musicians Meet in Cyberspace’
Chamber orchestras in Italy and the UK have come together in a unique experiment, to perform together simultaneously without leaving their homelands. Colin Grant reports on how broadband technology has allowed the British chamber orchestra, Manchester Camerata to perform in time with the Ex Novo ensemble in Venice, more than a thousand miles away.
