Manchester Camerata and CBS Outdoor bring music to Oxford Road Station
Over the next two weeks music from Manchester Camerata will be entertaining travellers at Oxford Road Station in Manchester City Centre. Commuters will hear popular classical music from Mozart, Beethoven and Mahler to enhance consumers’ experience and promote the New Year Gala concerts at the Bridgewater Hall.
The “sonic” posters have been installed by outdoor advertising company CBS Outdoor and play the music whenever someone approaches the poster.
Shelley Caulfield, Impact Manager at CBS Outdoor, commented: “We are always looking at innovative ways to allow our clients to engage consumers and this is a first for us in Manchester. The Bridgewater Hall and Manchester Camerata wanted to bring their poster to life with music to match and we have worked with them to do this”.
Bob Riley, Manchester Camerata’s Chief Executive said: “We are really excited to breaking new ground in this way. We believe that Manchester Camerata’s music encapsulates the spirit of Manchester – energetic, vibrant, accessible – and so we’re delighted to be working with CBS Outdoor and the Bridgewater Hall to bring world-class classical music to the streets of our city.”
Gala concerts will be held on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. For more information visit the What’s On section of the Manchester Camerata website. To book tickets, contact the Bridgewater Hall Box Office on 0161 907 9000 or visit www.bridgewater-hall.co.uk.
