This programme introduces an unexpected side to the Second Viennese School composers. Schoenberg’s early Romantic string work Verklárte Nacht will be accompanied by real-time visuals which react to the music courtesy of artist Netia Jones/Lightmap. Webern’s 5 Movements provides a tense, dramatic and atmospheric opening to this unmissable concert followed by Berg’s profoundly moving Violin Concerto.
