Gábor Takács-Nagy, Music Director, Manchester Camerata “I am so happy with my friends in the Orchestra, they play so well and they understand me so quickly, I can hardly wait to start our season. I am very happy to be here and to be accepted in this beautiful hall. I am touched by everything, and love Manchester more!” Sir Richard Leese, Leader of Manchester City Council.
“With Gabor you just have to say his name and let him do his thing. But i guess if I had to describe him and he wasn’t there, I would say he’s one of the most intuitive, charismatic and perceptive musicians I have ever come across who goes straight to the heart of the music.” Vicky Rosin, Deputy Chief Executive of Manchester City Council
“Each time I’ve heard him speak he moves me, so I find him an inspirational character, and I think if you are a business man or a sports professional or a leader of an orchestra you have to be inspirational, so it’s great to have such an inspiring man at the helm of such an important orchestra. “
