GABOR: A Manchester Welcome

The City of Manchester has officially welcomed Manchester Camerata’s new Music Director,
Gábor Takács-Nagy at a special reception in the historic Town Hall.

Gábor conducted the orchestra for a specially invited audience to mark the start of his tenure as Music Director.

The gathering was addressed by the Leader of Manchester City Council, Sir Richard Leese, Chairman of the Board of Manchester Camerata Geoffrey Schindler OBE and of course by the man himself, Gábor Takács-Nagy.

“I am so happy with my friends in the Orchestra, they play so well and they understand me so quickly, I can hardly wait to start our season.  I am very happy to be here and to be accepted in this beautiful hall. I am touched by everything, and love Manchester more!”

As well as his work with Camerata he’s obviously working with the RNCM.
