Judith Watson Joins Camerata Board

Manchester Camerata is pleased to welcome Judith Watson as a new member of the the board.

As a partner at Cobbetts LLP, Judith handles the whole spectrum of employment law generally with a specialist interest in discrimination issues, boardroom disputes, negotiating senior executive recruitment contracts and severance packages.

Judith also acts as a regular media spokesperson for the firm on TV and radio and manages training for clients on all issues concerning human resources and employment.

Manchester Camerata has a strong team of directors who play a crucial role in guiding the business of the orchestra at a particularly challenging time. They oversee the development of policy, strategy and operations – underpinning the orchestras sense of purpose and direction. They work closely with the Artistic Team to manage and develop the company helping to make it one of the most exciting and forward thinking music organisations in the country.


Judith Watson holds two other current Board Appointments:

Trustee Wood Street Mission – is a children’s charity established in 1869 based in the centre of Manchester to help local people affected by poverty and it continues to do amazing work, providing much needed support to children and families in Manchester and Salford. Judith chairs the charity’s marketing committee trying to raise profile and funds, and also chairs the remuneration committee.

Great Northern Events is a not-for-profit company, established to champion and promote high quality craft via the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair at Spinningfields. Director Century Buildings (Manchester) Management Ltd This is the management company responsible for running Century Buildings, a prestigious apartment development in Manchester.

Born in Sheffield, Judith has been living and working in Manchester for the past 26 years.
