We are delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Barlow as Head of Corporate Partnerships.
Claire joins Manchester Camerata alongside her role at Arts & Business North West, where she continues as Regional Manager. Claire has consulted on arts projects for brands including Unilever, The Co-operative, John Lewis and Weightmans and is launching a new initiative for a more sustainable regional arts sector together with a group of 15 senior business leaders.
Bob Riley, Chief Executive Officer of Manchester Camerata says, “Manchester Camerata is an ambitious orchestra, performing to 70,000 people annually and reaching over 15,000 people each year through our award winning Learning and Participation programme. We have a bold artistic vision and extensive plans for future growth. We are extremely lucky to have Claire join our team; her vast experience and knowledge will be vital to us achieving our aims.”
Claire says “Manchester Camerata is an outstanding orchestra with a 40 year history. The Orchestra contributes enormously to the vitality and cultural economy of Manchester and the North West, generating £1.8 million local spend in the past year. With Hungarian musician, Gábor Takács-Nagy now in his second term as Music Director and Leader Giovanni Guzzo playing a rare golden period 1709 Stradivarius kindly on extended loan from Jonathan Moulds, former President of Bank of America Merrill Lynch Europe, there has never been a more opportunistic time to ensure the orchestra can plan long-term for an exciting future. We look forward to continuing to work with partners including Haden Freeman, UK Fast, Castlefield and Bank of America and forming new partnerships with similarly ambitious businesses and individuals to help achieve our goals whilst ensuring long-term value for our partners.”
