Manchester Camerata Announce Founding Members Of New Business Network
Posted on February 28, 2014
Manchester Camerata is delighted to announce the support of the founding five members of Camerata Connect – its new business network aimed at diversifying income streams for the orchestra and increasing corporate engagement. North West based companies Barlows (UK) Ltd, Ralli Solicitors, Trust IV, UKFast and Vernon Violins have already signed up to the club, which launched in January.
Manchester Camerata takes inspiration from the Florentine Camerata – a 16th Century group of musicians, poets, intellectuals and business leaders who met to engage with, guide and support the arts. Camerata Connect is a reawakening of the Florentine Camerata, and an innovative way of an orchestra engaging with the corporate sector.
Adrian Anderson, Partner at Ralli Solicitors said: “I first experienced Manchester Camerata at the Christmas concert in Manchester Cathedral and I was very impressed with the imaginative treatment of the music they performed that night – they are a credit to Manchester. At Ralli we like to support people who put the city on the map and we are proud to be part of Camerata Connect.”
Paul Parsons, Owner of Vernon Violins said: “I have known Bob Riley, CEO of Manchester Camerata as a friend and client for many years. I have witnessed at first hand the hard work and dedication that Bob and his team have put in to taking the Camerata to its’ highest level of professional music making yet. It is a pleasure, as a Violin restorer and dealer to be associated with the Camerata Business Network, helping to support a world class ensemble and one which puts Manchester on the map for outstanding music making.”
As part of Camerata Connect, Camerata will host an annual networking event. This prestigious event will be an opportunity for members to meet like-minded businesses, develop client relationships and enjoy an exclusive, bespoke performance by Camerata’s principal musicians and special guests.
Gordon Appleby, Technical Director of Trust IV said: “We were extremely impressed by the vision of Camerata Connect and are looking forward to supporting the orchestra during this exciting time.”
David Barlow, Managing Director of Barlows (UK) said “Barlows (UK) Ltd are pleased to support Camerata Connect and look forward to taking key clients and employees to see this energetic and stunning orchestra.”
Lawrence Jones, long-term Camerata supporter and UKFast CEO said: “We are delighted to be supporting Camerata Connect. I am a strong believer in music and the arts naturally bringing people together and this initiative is an opportunity to nurture Manchester’s exceptional business community and inspire people across the city.
“We look forward to hosting Camerata Connect events in our new auditorium at UKFast Campus, which was launched in incomparable style last year with a rehearsal session by the Camerata.”
