Pop-Up Gin Bar, Pop-Up Cathedral, World Class Music

Exciting first for the city as Booths brings its first ever pop-up gin bar to Manchester for one night only – the perfect accompaniment to Manchester Camerata’s Love and Death concert on Saturday 8 February, 7.30pm at Manchester Cathedral.

Manchester Camerata will present an evening of extraordinary music in the impressive surroundings of Manchester Cathedral, whilst Booths provide a dazzling array of 26 delectable gins in the pop-up cathedral next door. Nestled next to Chetham’s School of Music and the River Irwell, the pop-up cathedral looks down the full length of Deansgate and was built to be a fitting replacement for the Cathedral during recent renovations.
Italian-Venezuelan violinist Giovanni Guzzo steps into the limelight as director and soloist in Mozart’s charming and lyrical fifth concerto for violin, in a programme also featuring Mahler’s beautiful love song to his wife Alma, the Adagietto from Symphony No.5.
Booths, which is highly regarded for its eclectic range of premium spirits, will be offering 26 quality and artisan gins. These range from Blackwood’s Nordic, the 1st gin in the world to use botanical ingredients from the Shetlands, produced using a Nordic recipe with Viking origins, to gins produced by the family run Hayman Distillers with a 150 year heritage, producing quality spirits using traditional distilling methods.
The concert starts at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 6pm and a pre-concert talk at 6.30pm.
