This is the Avie debut for Douglas Boyd and Manchester Camerata and the start of the ambitious and decade long plan to perform and record all the beethoven Symphonies.  This recording has been described as a ‘hair-raising‘ live recording of Beethoven’s Symphonies No. 2 and No. 5. It was a BBC Music Magazine Benchmark, and described by Classic FM Magazine as “A bargain at a budget price.”
