Talented musicians from schools across North Staffordshire benefited from a masterclass by members of Manchester Camerata.

The pupils converged on Wolstanton High School yesterday for CLASSic, a young classical musician of the year competition.

John Johnson, director of specialism at Wolstanton High School, said: “The students received advice from the musicians from Manchester Camerata on things such as presence on stage.”
