Students create a modern interpretation of Mozart’s ‘La Clemenza di Tito’

Over four days from 18th April, participants from Westfield Community School, Wigan worked with a Composer, a Dramatist and Manchester Camerata musicians to create a modern interpretation of La Clemenza di Tito, using themes from the opera as a stimulus for the creation of their new work.

This exciting project was an enjoyable learning experience that provided an opportunity for students to explore their own creative ideas as well as work alongside professional artists. Participants gave a final performance of their piece of musical theatre at the end of the four day residency in front of an appreciative audience of friends and families.
