The Ann Maguire Gala is a unique opportunity to see a world-class line up of dancers, choreographers and musicians come together for a special performance in support of the Ann Maguire Arts Education Fund.This is the first time theAnn Maguire Galawill be staged in Leeds, the evening features stars fromThe Royal Balletperforming divertissements from the classical ballet repertory including works by Frederick Ashton, Kenneth MacMillan, Christopher Wheeldon and Liam Scarlett.There will be a specialguest performancebyNorthern Balletdancing a duet from Jonathan Watkins award winning ballet 1984. Manchester Camerata performs live with the dancers. Royal Ballet PrincipalSteven McRaeperforms his knockout tap solo Czardas accompanied by violinistVasko Vassilevand there will be special performances by young people that the fund has supported.Artists from The Royal Ballet appearing include: Sarah Lamb, Laura Morera, Edward Watson, Steven McRae, Ryoichi Hirano, Akane Takada, Alexander Campbell, Nehemiah Kish, Melissa Hamilton, Claire Calvert, Yuhui Choe, Beatriz Stix-Brunell, Itziar Mendizabal, Fumi Kaneko , Emma-Jane Maguire, Marcelino Samb&e, Nicol Edmonds and Reece Clarke.The Ann Maguire Arts Education Fund has been set up by the Maguire family for the enhancement and development of young people through arts education.There are a limited number of VIP tickets available.
