Bridgewater Canal: Our History – Present

Our History is a new three part opera written by six primary schools situated along the Bridgewater Canal. The second part takes inspiration from the present day, exploring real stories of those who live and work on the Salford stretch of the Bridgewater Canal from Boothstown to Barton. Supported by Salford City Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund. In November the participants looked back at the heritage of the canal.
The next opera will look to the future of the Bridgewater Canal and at the propects and hopes of the incredibly influencial waterway.
