“Bavouzet was everything a French pianist should be, with limpid touch, dazzling fingerwork and a palette of myriad colours.”The Independent
International chamber musician G&abor Tak&acs-Nagy makes his debut as Camerata’s music director in his inaugural season. Folk music is never far from the forefront in this programme. Haydn, the great chronicler of human characters, is on dark and brooding form in his F minor Symphony, La Passione, much chirpier in his most famous D major Piano Concerto. Bart&ok’s hugely imaginative and richly colourful string Divertimento completes the programme.
Talking Point, 6.30pmGabor Tak&acs-Nagy talks about the Hungarian flavour of tonight’s programme.
