Tom Pankhurst looks at artistic exchanges in Stravinsky’s work. A musical exchange across the centuries inspired Stravinsky’s classically influenced Pulcinella suite, plus an expressive symphony by Haydn and Beethoven&s gloriously lyrical Violin Concerto with young virtuoso Valeriy Sokolov. The programme includes a new work by Jonathan Woolgar from Chethams School who took part in the recent Manchester Composers’ Workshop Day.Encore, 9.30pm
