LEARNING AND PARTICIPATION

Inspired by Mahler&s Das Leid von der Erde, Manchester Camerata and The Bridgewater Hall Community Education Trust are developing a project for schools across the Northwest to create a new ‘Songbook of the Earth& based on response to the environment. ‘Songbook’ is part of a year-long programme of learning work spanning Chester, The Wirral and Greater Manchester, delivered in collaboration with Chester Festivals and supported by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. In a Camerata first, schools can participate in the Songbook project online, accessing resources and practical support to create their own songs.
