Halloween Family Creativity Day – Chester

A fun day when all members of the family can get creative!The aim is for families to spend the day together working creatively on a particular story or theme, to produce an afternoon performance. The theme of this event is Halloween – all things gothic and ghoulish!When each family arrives at 10.15am they are allocated toone of three groups and work on a rotation basis to experience three workshops.- The first workshop is percussion based and everyone can have a go on a huge range of percussion, including sleigh bells, gongs, timpani, drums, wind chimes, exotic African and Asian instruments. – The second workshop is craft based and everyone gets to make props, scenery, costumes and instruments for the final performance.- The third workshop is drama based and gives everyone involved the chance to breathe life into a script and flex their acting muscles!The three groups come together at the end for a final performance on the stage. The day is most suitable for children between the ages of 7 and 11 although this is very flexible. Children must be accompanied by an adult, who will take an active role in the day&s activities!
