Interactive Schools Concert – Ulverston

Date: Thursday 19th May 2016 13:30

Venue: Coronation Hall, Ulverston

This vibrant schools concert has been specifically created for Key Stage 2 and will take children on an interactive journey through the musical world of Grieg. Exploring the dance-inspired Holberg Suite with the orchestra and a guest presenter, there will be singing, rhythm and maybe even some dance games to bring Grieg’s music to life. This concert will be a fun and engaging way to introduce pupils to the orchestra and classical music.

New for this year, this event is running alongside Arts Award Discover for participating schools. Children complete three stages: Discover (what is an art form), Find Out (find out about an artist or work, in this case attending the concert counts), and Sharing Findings. We provide teachers with free pre and post-concert materials to support the scheme and it’s free to take part, the only cost to schools is the cost of the certificates (if required).
