Lake District Summer Music

Manchester Camerata will be performing for the first time in many years at Kendal Town Hall as part of the Lake District Summer Music Festival. The concert includes two works by Mendelssohn written incredibly when he was only 13, both the String Symphony no.10 and his lesser know Violin Concerto in D minor have all the vivacious energy of his later works. Two engaging symphonies by Mozart and Haydn, plus Tippett’s baroque inspired Little Music for String orchestra complete the programme. Manchester Camerata’s dynamic young leader, Giovanni Guzzo will direct the programme.
