Douglas Boyd conductor Jonathan Bisspiano Rachael Cleggcor anglais Manchester Camerata’s concert series in Stafford opens with a dramatic and passionate programme. American pianist Jonathan Biss brings his youthful energy to Brahms’s mighty concerto whilst Camerata’s principal oboe Rachael Clegg switches to the more melancholic cor anglais for Alwyn’s beautiful Autumn Legend. Beethoven’s humorous and lighthearted Symphony no.8 provides a contrast in mood.
