  • An arts and crafts workshop a percussion workshop and a session with Manchester Camerata musicians and a storyteller

This hands-on musical event, led by professional musicians, is a fantastic opportunity for children and their parents, guardians or grandparents to compose music, play instruments and make costumes. The theme for the day will be centred around an Aboriginal creation myth. No experience required – you just need enthusiasm and energy! (Most suitable for children aged between 7 – 11 yearsbut other ages are welcome). The day will run from 10.30am – 3.00pm The day will include:

• A hands-on arts and crafts workshop where you will make your own instrument and costume

• A percussion workshop, where you can have a go on a huge range of instruments with Manchester Camerata&s professional percussionist

• A fun session with Manchester Camerata musicians and a storyteller to create and perform your own soundtrack to Aboriginal myths…

• A free performance (by you!) for any friends and family not already taking part at 2.30pmTop Tip for Mums and Dads

There will be a short break for lunch so bring along some snacks and a drink.

It’s thirsty work being this creative and you wouldn&t want to miss anything while you nip out and get something.
