Mozart Flute Concerto In Stafford
Date: Friday 16th November 2012 19:30
Venue: Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford
6.30pm Pre-concert PerformanceFamily groups from In Harmony schools in Telford and Stoke join together for the first time to share their new piece of music created over the half term holiday. The second Mozart concert of the season features Camerata&s principal flautist in Mozart&s Flute Concerto no.1. G&abor Tak&acs-Nagy continues his exploration of twentieth century British string music with two more miniature masterpieces – Vaughan Williams& folk-immersed Five Variants for Strings and Harp, and Elgar&s beautifully melodic Chanson de Matin et de Nuit. Haydn&s Symphony no.101, famously known as The Clock after the ticking rhythm in the slow movement, sees the composer at his most inventive, charming and characterful.
