6.30pm Pre-concert Performance – REmixLocal young people present their new piece of music which takes a fresh look at and casts a new perspective on Mozart&s Horn Concerto No.4.For the opening concert of the season, Camerata&s principal horn player, Naomi Atherton, takes centre stage to perform one of Mozart&s favourite concertos, his Horn Concerto no.4. Two British string masterpieces are featured, Holst&s ever popular dance-infused St Paul&s Suite and Elgar&s Sospiri (meaning sighs), a melodic work of tragic beauty, written in the build up to the First World War. There is also the opportunity to hear Haydn&s Symphony no.92, nick-named the Oxford, a work brimming with invention and humour.CONCESSIONSConcessions apply to seniors (60+), full-time students, job seekers, and income support. Registered disabled patrons can purchase tickets for themselves and a companion at 50% of the full price of each seat, if assistance is needed. Proof of status may be required for concession tickets.
