Mozart Horn Concerto – Ulverston

Camerata’s principal horn player, Naomi Atherton, takes centre stage to perform one of Mozart’s favourite concertos, his Horn Concerto no.4. Two twentieth century British string masterpieces are featured, Holst’s ever popular dance-infused St Paul’s Suite and Elgar’s Sospiri (meaning sighs), a melodic work of tragic beauty. There is also the opportunity to hear Haydn’s inventive and humourous Symphony no.92, nicknamed the ‘Oxford’.
