Night And Day – Stafford

The shimmering images of a hot afternoon and the poetry of romantic love on a summer evening are at the heart of this concert, alongside the intensely rich textures of a Brahms sextet arranged here for larger string forces. The programmes includes a new work by Steven Jackson from the Royal Northern College of Music whose work was chosen to be performed duringthe Manchester Composer’s Workshop Day in February.

At 6.50pm you’ll also be treated to a very special pre-concert performance. Young people from Aelfgar Rugeley College will perform their own musical compositions, written with the guidance of Camerata musicians, which have been inspired by Debussy’s Prelude á l’aprés midi d’un Faune.
