Manchester Camerata is delighted to be opening the Stafford Music Festival with a trip round the capital cities of Europe, courtesy of Mozart and Haydn. Mozart wrote his vivacious Paris Symphony to appeal to local tastes, whilst Haydn’s Symphony no.104, written in London, has references to a Croatian folk tune in its exuberant final movement. Our whistlestop tour stops off in Vienna, with Kathryn Stott performing Mozart&s Piano Concerto no.20, written and premiered in the city.

The programme includes a new work by Jose Guillermo Puello who took part in the Manchester Composers’ Workshop Day in February.

This concert is part of the Stafford Music Festival 2010
