This beautiful concert of romantic serenades for strings is very appropriately taking place just after Valentine’s Day, in fact the title of Sibelius’s Rakastava even means “The Lover” in translation.
Directed by Adi Brett, who takes the soloist role in Schubert’s concerto-like Rondo, this programme showcases the rich and powerful sound of Manchester Camerata’s string section, particularly in Elgar’s noble music and Tchaikovsky’s intensely romantic Serenade.
Ticket Prices £15.00 and £13.00 (concessions) £5.00 tickets for under 18s
