Don’t miss one of Douglas Boyd’s final appearances as Music Director of Manchester Camerata. On this magical evening Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto – a favourite with audiences worldwide, with its lyrical themes and lively finale – will be performed by the orchestra’s dazzling new Leader Giovanni Guzzo. Fusing music and drama, Mendelssohn’s effervescent incidental music to A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be accomanpied by narration taken from Shakespeare’s enchanting play. Your narrator for the evening will be actor John Savident, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Fred Elliot in Coronation Street.

Filled with comedy, sublime poetry and romance, this concert offers a unique and entertaining experience.
