The Manchester Festive Happening

Date: Sunday 13th December 2015 15:00

Venue: Albert Hall, Manchester

Due to overwhelming demand from last year’s audience, we present for the second year running a trulyManchester festive happening at the atmospheric Albert Hall on Peter Street. Camerata strings and brass will perform a stunning baroque programme spiced with an array of carefully selected carols – some brooding, others bursting with joy. For Gabrieli’s Sonatas and Canzonas, our mesmerising brass musicians will perform in each corner of the room, filling this old Wesleyan chapel with sound from every angle. In a twist on tradition, this event will be presented by Laura Bowler and Camerata’s very own principal flute, Amina Cunningham, giving you an opportunity to get to know one of our principal musicians that little bit better. Expect mulled wine and mince pies at the bar and a pin-drop atmosphere that will stay with you long after.
