UpClose: Hugo Ticciati – Spirituality & Minimalism

The Cathedral’s vast and spiritual space provides the perfect setting for this atmospheric UpClose experience. ArtisticPartner, Hugo Ticciati, a violinist with a holistic approach to music, encompassing aspects of literature, philosophy andmeditation – he is also an explorer of the connection between movement and music in his concerts. This concert isalso the first step in a collaboration with Clod Ensemble, a company that have made their name by crafting a uniquelanguage in visual theatre. Clod Ensemble will be working with Hugo and our musicians over the coming years to re-imagine what a performance of classical music might be. Music includes Vasks& beautiful Concerto for Violin and Strings, Distant Light,Arvo Pärt’s spine-tingling Silouan’s Song and In Memoriam Benjamin Britten, plus Haydn’s Farewell Symphony, as much visually poignant as it is sonically.
