Who Runs The World…

Date: Monday 05th March 2018 19:30

Venue: RNCM, Manchester

We are excited to be celebrating the roles of inspirational women in music this year with our very special programme, featuring a new work by Camerata&s former Composer-in-Residence, Laura Bowler, which is inspired by the iconic Bj&ork, Norwegian pop sensation Aurora Joni Mitchell. This blend of top international talent elucidates the prominence of women in music today. Our Youth Forum provide a work for the Inspirational Woman of the Year recipient and will follow with a performance of Anna Clyne&s Within Her Arms as well as Deborah Pritchard&s trumpet concerto, Seven Halts on the Somme, which was commissioned by Lichfield Festival in 2016 for Manchester Camerata and Tine Thing Helseth.
