Posted on June 22, 2011
Saturday 24 September 2011 – Put the date in your diary, it’s sure to be a stunning night! The renowned pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet joins Camerata for this season opener Portrait of an Hungarian: Part 1. As the name suggests, the first of two concerts highlighting Hungarian repertoire, including Haydn’s dark and brooding F minor ‘Passione’ Symphony, and much chirpier D major Piano Concerto. Bartók’s hugely imaginative and richly colourful string Divertimento completes the programme. Arrive early to hear Gábor Takács-Nagy introduce the 2011/12 Season, and stay later for our Encore presented in association with the Manchester Jazz Festival. Truly a night to remember! |
